This free (for now anyway..) website allows you to post photos for the purpose of presentations or storytelling. It is easy to add photos and easy to navigate. |

This website is basically a world newsfeed represented in pictures. There are 100 pictures each labelled with a key word. These are ranked from left to right and then top to bottom in their importance (how many times they show up in the news). If you click on a picture, a window comes up with links to some articles related to the picture and the key word. At the bottom of the page are the words 'previous hour' 'next hour' and 'history'. 'Previous hour' and 'next hour' lead to another 100 pictures and words from the previous/next hour. When the 'History' button is clicked, more words and numbers appear: the years 2004 - 2011, which, when one is selected, leads to the month, then the day, then the hour. However, at the same time as the months show up, there is also the option of full year - 100 pictures and words to represent the year. I like the idea of this website, but I don't like how you cannot search for any one subject in particular; it is a bit disorganised. This site is probably only used for when you want to catch up on news all around, and so just pick whatever and read it. It could be useful in DT if the news included anything about new technology that might affect us (i.e. iPad replacing computers). |
